15-Minute Daily Plunge. GO!

Good morning everyone! I have another follow up post from my last two on: My Binge Eating Solution and Eating When Hungry

This one is taking a “Plunge” as Geneen Roth would call it.

Here is an excerpt from her book, Why Weight

Binges are way in which we allow ourselves to go unconscious, to get away from the concerns of the day-to-day life and plunge into oblivion for a few minutes. If we developed other ways to meet that need, our desire to binge would lessen.

I believe that we all need to tune out, to retreat or disappear form view at least once a day, and that we ought to make a commitment to ourselves to do this-or else we will become too busy with the shoulds and have-tos to remember the want-tos.

Commit yourself to a fifteen-minute plunge every day.

What will you do for your fifteen-minute daily plunge?

Get out a piece of paper, your calendar, whatever it is you may use, and write down what you will do for 15-minutes each day, to retreat from your day-to-day duties.

I know I posted that delicious salad on instagram yesterday, but I never got a chance to eat it at work, and at dinner time, after my walk, all I wanted was exactly what I made. I’m working all day today again, so I’ll take my salad for lunch today 🙂

Have a great day everyone!
