A Coaching Story That Might Sound a Lot Like Yours
November 4, 2025
It’s been a while since I’ve shared a coaching testimonial, so I thought it was time! When I explain what Life Coaching is to women in person, if they’ve never heard of it, they often respond with “Wow, maybe I need that!” While Life Coaching has been around for years, itโs still gaining popularity. Many people have questions about how a Life Coach differs from a therapist. There are many wonderful similarities between coaching and therapy; however, their core goals and purposes vary.
Therapyย often focuses onย healing. Understanding the past, working through trauma, or addressing mental health challenges. A therapist helps you process whatโs happened and supports you in finding wholeness and stability.
Coaching, on the other hand, is about growth and forward movement. Itโs less about โwhat went wrongโ and more about โwhatโs next.โ In coaching, we work together to clarify your values, set intentional goals, and create a life that aligns with what matters most to you.
Where therapy often asks, โHow did we get here?โ coaching asks, โWhere do you want to go, and how can we get you there?โ
In my coaching practice, we especially focus on inviting God into every part of your life: your routines, your marriage, your motherhood, and your mindset. Coaching provides a space to pause, reflect, and make choices that restore peace and purpose to your days.
Both can truly complement each other, and many women I work with have undergone therapy either before or alongside coaching. However, the focus in coaching is always on the futureโon living more fully as the woman God created you to be.
A recent set of goals I wrote out for someone thinking about pursuing coaching are as follows:
- I am a calm, confident woman in Christ.
- I have grown in my marriage, and weโve grown in putting God at the center.
- I make choices based on trust rather than fear.
- I am a good example to my kids.
- I talk about God more often.
- I am the mom I want to be, and I take good care of myself.
- I am confident in my faith and perform daily actions that draw me closer to God.
- I feel more knowledgeable about my Christian faith.
- I have more confidence in hearing from God and understanding what He wants me to do.
- I can pray and receive guidance from Him.
- I enjoy a personal relationship with God.
- I have grown into the wife, mother, daughter, friend, and woman God wants me to be.
- I am taking care of myself physically and establishing a routine of moving my body more.
- I have greater clarity about my purpose in this season of life, and I am excited about what it will become in the future.
This list could easily be one I sent to any number of clients because the goals are very common among most of my clients. They want to move toward God and live a life that brings glory to God, so they can grow closer to their husbands, be good examples for their children, and also be a light to others in their community.
They want to replace anxiety and worry with the peace that comes from trusting God with our lives, our kids, and our futures. They aim to move from overthinking to gratitude, experiencing more peace and joy each day. Enjoying this life that God has given them.
One of my clients, Heather, who has now completed two different six-month programs focused on different goals, wrote this:
“Before starting coaching with Paige, I struggled to find time for God and myself in the middle of everything. With a new baby and a preschooler, plus being a working mom and supportive wife, life got hectic! I was craving more calm and ways to be present, not only for myself but for my family, too.
Having bi-weekly calls was greatโit gave me time in between to practice what we talked about and feel good about my progress. I always felt like I had enough time to gather some real wins to share! And it was so nice knowing that I could check in with Paige on Voxer between calls if I needed support.
One of my favorite parts about coaching with Paige was having a Christ-centered space. I could openly talk about God and His presence in my life, which I usually only do with my husband and close family. Iโd been missing that feeling of bringing God into a conversation with a friend, and Paige became that friend! I loved how open I could be, and it led to some truly inspiring conversations.
Through coaching, I’ve really been able to shift my mindset around things that used to stress me out and become more intentional with my time and my thoughts. I feel like Iโm now more present for my children and husband, without the same overwhelming stress I used to feel.
If you’re on the fence, Iโd say you wonโt regret doing this coaching, but you might regret *not* doing it. I didnโt know how much I needed it until I saw the benefits for myself! This was actually my second time working with Paige, and my needs were different this time compared to four years ago. But I felt the call to do it again, and Iโm so glad I did. My life is better because of it!”
If Heatherโs story resonates with you, Iโd love to walk alongside you. Coaching offers a special space to pause, realign, and invite God into the areas of life that feel busy or overwhelming. Everyone’s specific goals may vary, but the heart is the same โ to live with more peace, presence, and purpose in the season youโre in. If youโve been feeling that gentle nudge or a sense of curiosity about coaching, consider it a sign to reach out. You can learn more here. Iโd love to connect and hear what you want to do in your life, too.
