Best Tea Ever {TEALEAVES}

IMG_5249.JPG

Good morning everyone! So, about two weeks ago, I was connected with Tealeaves, and decided I would give their tea a try and do an honest review.

I was so impressed with the way Tealeaves contacted me. Usually, companies contact me and it sounds like a robot wrote me the email – eh, automatic DQ! Tealeaves on the other hand, was so personal, they followed up with informative emails, contacted me when my tea arrived to see how I liked it, etc…

Anyways, I tried the tea, and it was GREAT.

Here are a few benefits of tea that they sent over:

As fellow believers of health and well-being, we thought you might enjoy a few quick facts about tea and what it provides:
DIETARY NUTRIENTS
Tea contains many nutrients important to our bodies such as Vitamins A, B2, C, D, E and Folic Acid (B9); minerals such as Potassium, Calcium, Iron, Magnesium and Manganese.

GOOD MENTAL HEALTH
Teas such as Earl Grey (assuming like our teas, use a natural and not an artificial oil of bergamot), herbal infusions containing such herbs as chamomile, peppermint, lavender, rosemary etc., act like a natural aromatherapy, relaxing or uplifting the senses and creating a sense of overall well-being.

HYDRATION
Tisanes and herbal infusions which are often classified as ‘teas’, do not contain any caffeine. Anything with caffeine is naturally de-hydrating. Since herbal infusions and tisanes have no caffeine, they are very refreshing on a hot day, replacing lost water after an invigorating workout or after a hard day at the spa. As our bodies are made up of 60% of water, and 70% for our brains, hydration is an important aspect of a well-functioning mind and body.

ORAL HEALTH
Tea assists in keeping teeth and gums healthy. By containing natural fluoride and tannins tea helps to keep plaque at bay. Fluoride helps to protect teeth’s enamel from the acids that lead to tooth decay

I mixed the Winter Escape Tea bag with honey and homemade almond milk, since I can’t have cream… I could smell the minty flavors through my to-go cup as I was on a walk with Marco. So soothing!

I had to post the below picture, because I thought it was funny 🙂

I couldn’t find my tea-infuser, so I had to get really creative. I think I had my my infuser away!

As you can see, some of the tea-went through. I double strained it and it was perfect!

Here are the actual steeping guidelines to their teas!

With regards to steeping information, we have a few guides that I think would be both instructive and entertaining:

Here’s another word from Tealeaves. As I said, they were really informative!

Each of our teas are created uniquely by our master blenders, so here are some of the one-of-a-kind inspirations behind these blends, and healthy tips:

Winter Escape:

Aroma: Cool and minty

Palate: Sweet and smooth

The perfect fireside retreat on a cold and windy day. Indulge your senses with uplifting peppermint and smooth cocoa, and prepare to be whisked away in a reverie. In your favourite hideaway from the frost, rejoice in the warmth of this season.

Satisfy your sweet tooth by transforming your Winter Escape into a delectable dessert by sweetening with a dash of sugar and a touch of cream.

West Coast Wave

Aroma: Exotic

Palate: Tangy and refreshing

Take a moment to create something expressive: a poem, a gestural drawing, a lyrical song, a leap of joy, a sound, or anything creative and have fun. This unique and refreshing blend allows for us to get into the Western Zen-like spirit. Take a cup of this tea with you the next time you make a trip to view the waves hit the rocks at the ocean bay. Or just close your eyes and hear the waves, taste the tropical fruity flavor as the island of your imagination comes alive before you.

Fruit teas (tisanes) are a much healthier alternative to the sugary drinks on the market these days – they are all-natural, caffeine-free, and have no added sweeteners.

Teabags:

With the highest quality whole leaf tea leaves, the finest herbs and spices in each sachet, our teabags are strong enough to brew two cups of tea. In total, we have 20 unique blends. Out of the 20, the herbal flavours we think you might enjoy are the immune-boosting Chamomile Flowers, the uplifting aroma of Harmony Herbal, and the antioxidant-packed Organic Vanilla Rooibos. We look forward to learning your favorite!

Note from Healthy Hits the Spot, I love Organic Vanilla Rooibos!

All that being said, seriously, I loved this tea. I am not compensated for this review, it is only my person opinion that I wanted to share because of this gift. I’ve always liked tea, but it’s never really been my “thing.” I’ve been a Coffee girl for as long as I can remember. Since I received my Tealeaves package, I have been drinking more tea than ever. I even find myself ordering tea over Coffee at Starbucks! What?

Just a side note, these teas would make a great Christmas Present! You know how when you buy an inexpensive box of tea, it’s good… but it leaves an after taste in your mouth? Almost like a dryness on your tongue? Well, I always thought that was normal, until I tried this tea. It goes down so smooth.

Okay, well, that’s my review on Tealeaves. Like I said, this it totally 100% my personal opinion. I just wanted to do an extra nice review because I truly loved the tea, and I loved the staff that was in communication with me.

Have a great day everyone! Let me know if you’ve had Tealeaves before!
