Broiled Delight!
April 4, 2012
Good afternoon everyone! Sorry I was MIA yesterday. I had 4 babysitting jobs and was trying to rest and get over my cold all at the same time.
I got home last night around about 12 and prepped some ONO’s
In a bowl:
- 1/3 cup Oats
- 1/3 cup almond milk
- 1/2 banana
- 1 tbsp. PB
- 1 tbsp. Chia Seeds
- 1 tbsp. Raisins
- Few shakes Cinnamon
- 1 tbsp. Shredded Coconut
Mix everything together
Cover, and let sit overnight
I woke up at 5:30am because I had a 6:30 babysitting job. I am really trying to listen to my body lately, so I am eating smaller portions more often. I dished 1/2 the ONO’s into a bowl and enjoyed those at about 6am
It was still dark out as I was driving to pick up little Chloe (yes, I am stopped here!!)
Two hours later, after Chloe and I picked up Griffin and dropped him at his dentist appointment I snacked on 1/2 my LARABAR.
The key for me is eating little portions of whatever I am craving, waiting about 30 minutes, and asking myself if I am still hungry. My body (and digestive system) like me so much more when I eat this way! It’s basically like spreading 3 full meals over about 6-8 small meals (comes down to the same amount)
Little Chloe snacked on some wheat thins as I took her back home 🙂
Driving back to pick up Griffster from his dentist apt, my car got filthy! The roads in Ventura are under construction. So much for washing my car! Haha
Peachy clean!!! 😀
I picked him up and we headed to Target to do some grocery shopping and get him ready for camping! He leaves today- I am going to miss him!! Yes, I am attached!
Arriving back at Griffins house, about 2 hours after my LARABAR I had the other 1/2 of my ONO’s
Then I cleaned, washed clothes, put the food away- everything a Nanny does. Once I did all that, I went and had Coffee at home with my Dad. He called and told me to “come hangout with your Old Man!” He said “I’ll buy you Coffee!” (aka make you Coffee at home with the Kuerig that you love so much)
Again, two hours later, I was hungry again. I went home and made lunch and hungout with Daizzzzzy.
I had such a good lunch!
- One piece of Ezekiel Bread
- Pesto Smeared over the top
- 3 slices of Turkey
- 4 pieces of Artichoke Hearts
- One Piece of Muenster Cheese
- To make: layered in this order, then set under the broiler in the oven until cheese is golden brown.
For my side salad:
- One handful of Arugula
- Drizzle of Olive Oil
- Drizzle of Balsamic
- Sprinkle of Sea Salt
- Sprinkle of Sunflower Seeds
Perfect lunch! Now lets see how long this keeps me full 😉
Okay, I am just about done Nannying and then I think I am going to head up to Carpinteria to visit my family at the Campgrounds… either that or rest before I babysit… again, I’ll let my body decide! I just want to feel better 🙂
PS, Zinc has really been helping me kick this cold! I take a tablet that melts in your mouth every 3 hours. Any other cold remedy suggestions? I got this one from you guys! Thank you!! <3
