Chicken Chile Lime Burgers with sweet potato fries and homemade 2-min dipping sauce!
For dinner tonight, I made Chicken Chile Lime Burgers with sweet potato fries and homemade dipping sauce! It was absolutely delish. I have the dipping sauce recipe below, too!
The Chicken Chile Lime Burgers are from Trader Joes. You buy them in the frozen section, and I personally grill them on our George Forman Grill. To add to the burgers, I grilled onions & jalapenos, melted half a piece of havarti cheese on top of that, and then topped that with fresh avocado, lettuce, and dipping sauce instead of mayo (much healthier). For the bun, I used 100 calories whole wheat sandwich thins.
The dip was absolutely amazing; I got the recipe from Joy the Baker. It tastes a little bit like ranch (even Kurt said so), but is much much much healthier!
The sweet potato fries are also from Trader Joes in the frozen section. I used these because we had some left, but an even healthier alternative is to just buy fresh sweet potato spears and bake them with Olive Oil. That’s super yummy too 🙂
Yogurt Sauce:
-1/3 cup plain greek yogurt
-1 tsp. olive oil
-1/4 tsp. cumin powder
Absolutely perfect. I made mine before work, around 3, and let it sit in the fridge until about 7:30 when I ate dinner. I’m not sure if that’s necessary, but it sure made the flavor good 🙂
