Clif Bar + Microwave = Healthy Treat/Snack!

Good morning everyone!

So, first of all, I am happy to announce that last night was the first GOOD night of sleep I’ve had in over a week! Woohoo! All week I had been waking up in the middle of the night around 1AM wide awake, and it was taking forever to get back to bed. Last night, I slept like a baby!

In fact, I slept so good that this morning when I woke up, I was acting like I was still asleep! I even told my Mom, “I really like to get my megs looving in the morning,” instead of saying “I really like to get my legs moving in the morning.” Haha, she started laughing and said that I’m starting to sound like her 😉

After a short walk with my Mom and Noah, I had a Slim Down Smoothie for breakfast (Meal 1), but made it with Chai instead of water! Remember I said I was going to do this?

Well, it wasn’t a super strong Chai taste, but it was good! A nice little hint of Chai. I soaked the Chai Tea bag overnight and added it in the morning.

-1 Scoop of Vanilla protein powder, 1/2 cup almond milk, 1/2 cup Chai tea, 1/2 cup ice, and a few shakes of cinnamon… oh, and just for fun, a 1/2 tsp. of pumpkin pie spice! Yummy 🙂

After Meal 1, I went to the gym for a Step Class with my Dad. Got a great workout in! Love that 55 minutes of Cardio!

For Meal 2, I had a White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Clif Bar!

And don’t forget the Coffee, always Coffee with a treat like this! 😉

Now for the trick! Heat your Clif Bar in the Microwave for 15 seconds and it will taste like dessert! Eat it slowly with a fork, and enjoy every bite! So delicious!

I have to share what @Mommyhoodto2  (Jennifer) shared with me on Twitter. She is so amazing, and so sweet! She is such a great TIU member, who is always checking up on people, and encouraging everyone to be the best THEM that they can be. She even acknowledges in her blog, that everyone has different weight loss/gain/maintenance goals, and I love that!

“Maybe go on a random trip? Or pour out into those around you. Love on those around you. Bless those around you.. Etc. Share God’s love w/ those around you. Through this heartache remember to choose joy, focus on all the positive & do things you can’t do when you’re in a relationship. Keep yourself busy and stay focused on knowing this IS God’s will!”
