Cozy Saturday + Farmer’s Market
January 26, 2013
After a night out, I slept in this morning until 8. Believe it or not, that’s late for me. I’m usually up by 6/6:30 daily! I love being up before most people, opening my big sliding door, journaling, and then seeing Marco when he comes over for quiet time 🙂 Today was not one of those days though. It was a get up, make tea, and go kinda day.
Yesterday Marco and I went to Spicetopia in Ventura and filled up the Spice Rack that I got for Christmas from my brother and his girlfriend 🙂 While we were there, I got some deeeelicious tea and sugar… Yep! I couldn’t resist the sugars because they were infused with different flavor. I got a little bag of organic cane sugar, and then a little bag of coconut infused sugar. Smelled sooo good! I put a tea-spoon in my new Yunnan Tea! So yummy!
For breakfast, I drank a little bit of Green Smoothie (which was much more green than this picture (this is a picture of a different smoothie I made, hehe) and headed off to take my car in for it’s 20,000 mile service. It’s weird to think my car has 20,000 miles?! It feels like I just got it yesterday! Here’s the post where I bought my car!
After dropping off my car, whose name is apparently “Leila” (I don’t even remember making that name, haha) Marco and I went to the Farmers Marco and walked around downtown. We ran into people we knew like usual, and had a good time. That’s our favorite Saturday morning date! It seems like we make a date out of everything! No complaints 🙂
Next, we went back to my house and I had some blueberries, a little bit more Green Smoothie, and then we headed off to the Gym. He lifted weights and played basketball, I did Yoga. I am a new Yoga lover!
After Yoga was lunch. I headed up some lima bean soup that my Dad gave us, and then made a sandwich with my new Rye bread I picked up at the Farmers Market
- Toasted rye
- avocado
- sprouts (from Farmer’s Market as well)
- pickles
- mustard
A few hours later while watching Friends with Marco, my tummy started growling at me, so I had a bowl of Bran Flakes with Raisins and almond milk. This held me over for at least 4 hours. I think Bran Flakes are just a good food for me. They always leave me satisfied and feeling good!
Side Note: LOVE this water from Trader Joe’s! If you’re a Soda drinker trying to quit soda, give their sparkling fruit waters a try!
For dinner tonight, I had brussel sprouts and a sweet potato. No avocado. This picture is from a few nights ago. You see, I always take pictures, but I don’t always end up posting daily life because there’s something else that I want to share. I know daily life is the most popular though, so I try to do those posts the most 🙂
Now I’m working, blogging away sipping on a multi-green Kombucha. Mmm! Hope you all have a wonderful night! Tomorrow is Church, Health Coaching, and then my Sunday Date with Marco. I think we are planning on Cafe Fiore. Last week we went to Westlake, got drinks at the Four Seasons, went to a fancy dinner at The Grill, and then went to our friends Party in Northridge. That was a fun date! 🙂
