Daily Eats and the First Snowfall of Winter

Heeeeey you. I’m happy this morning. It’s the first snow we’ve gotten this winter in Reno. Well, technically winter isn’t for another 10 days or so, but it sure does feel like it around here! I’ve never lived anywhere it’s snowed before so this is very exciting. Ha!

I’m here with more daily eats this week. Are you proud? I’ve been remembering to take more photos. Wahoo! Though, I did forget a photo of my chili last night… darn! At least there’s another photo just like it in this post. Enjoy!

Before we dive in, I just want to say that these posts are NOT for comparison (if these posts are triggering for you in anyway, scroll THESE posts instead).

I share my eats in hopes that you’d leave here today feeling inspired and full of PERMISSION to listen to YOUR BODY, as I listen to mine. I hope these posts fill you with the FAITH you need to let go of ALL food rules/control (just as I have!).

Let’s go!

Tuesday

My quiet time lately has included reading my women's study Bible, a couple of devotionals, and journaling while sipping coffee. So relaxing, so inspiring, such a great start to the day.

Tuesday morning (like every other morning this week) started with quiet time. I read my women’s study Bible, a couple of devotionals, and journaled while sipping coffee. So relaxing, so inspiring, such a great start to the day.

Two eggs over-medium and sourdough toast with Trader Joe's chicken breakfast sausage

After breakfast I made breakfast for Marco and I. Two eggs over-medium, sourdough toast, and chicken breakfast sausage (Trader Joe’s – so good!). This has been my routine this week and I think it may stick: quiet time, breakfast, workout, shower/dress, work. I’m enjoying it!

We fully savored our Thanksgiving leftovers! Enjoying the last of our turkey, cranberry, mashed potatoes, and green bean casserole. All it needed was gravy!

For lunch we had the last of Thanksgiving leftovers – turkey, cranberry, mashed potatoes, and green bean casserole. All it needed was gravy! Was anyone else NOT sick of leftovers? Haha I fully savored them until they were gone!

Instapot Chili Recipe. This recipe is for those of you who like a heavy, smoked, flavorful dish. It tastes even better as leftovers with wine.

For dinner, I had more chili that I’d made in our new InstaPot. I shared the link to the recipe in this post.

Wednesday

Two eggs with sourdough toast. Yum! So happy to have sourdough back in our breakfasts!

Wednesday morning started off with quiet time followed by this breakfast of eggs and sourdough. Mmm! So happy to have sourdough back in our lives (we just got a new toaster after not having one for a while). After breakfast I showered and got ready for work. I met with clients until 12:00 and then took a break for a snack.

DIY At-home snack board with cheese, salami, and crackers.

I snacked on a few pieces of cheese, salami, and crackers. Then I got back to work for a call with a friend who is thinking about becoming a coach herself (love talking with new coaches!). I remember the excitement when I was signing up for coaching school, myself. So fun!

BBQ chicken sandwiches on shepherds bread made with leftover BBQ chicken from our friends.

After that call I made Marco and I lunch. BBQ chicken sandwiches on shepherds bread. Yum! Our friends gave us leftover BBQ chicken. Thank goodness for leftovers. We’ll take ’em all! I had this half.

The rest of the day was filled with work and straightening up the house. My friend Nichole came over for dinner where we finished up the rest of the chili, drank wine and watched Crazy Rich Asians. It was hilarious! Great movie. Did anyone else see it? If so, who wants to plan a trip to Singapore? 😉

I hope you have a great day! I’m off to meet with more clients for the day. Newsletter coming later – make sure you’re signed up by entering your name and email below! You’ll get a free 1-day intuitive eating guide in return. Yay!
