Before we dive in, I want to remind you that these posts are NOT for comparison (if these posts are triggering for you in anyway, scroll THESE posts instead).
I share my eats in hopes that you’d leave here today feeling inspired and full of PERMISSION to listen to YOUR BODY, as I listen to mine. I hope these posts fill you with the FAITH you need to let go of ALL food rules/control (just as I have!).
Thursday morning started off with a 5:30 wake up time, sitting in the backyard with Abby, sipping coffee, reading a book and spending a significant amount of time in my journal connecting with my future self.
Sound strange? I visualized myself 5 years from now (really it felt like 2 years from now?) as I have my clients do in their Discovery Sessions with me. It was magical. I hadn’t done this in some time.
Some things that I pictured were exactly the same. And other things were new, shifted, and showed me the deep down desires of my heart.
I was able to gain insights on the things I want to focus more on in my business (I’d love to talk more about making gentle nutrition simple/attainable and help women fully step into who they WANT to be).
Who do you want to be?
This truth came to me while I was journaling: “Don’t get so stuck where you are that you stop becoming who you want to be.” You have permission to change from where you are now. You have permission to want what you want.
It was a magical quiet time, to say the very least. I felt so connected to myself, God, and my future. I saw kiddo’s hanging around the house. I think a couple were ours and a couple were friends.
I could see what I was wearing, feel how I felt, and see how I took care of myself. That version of me would tell the today me to keep her head up. To take great care of herself. And to stay excited about the future. It’s even better.
After my splendid quiet time I made two over-medium eggs with a slice of toasted sourdough topped with Kerrygold butter. Yum! At first, I pulled out bran flakes to make cereal and then really checked in with myself:
“What sounds better for today?”
And eggs and toast it was. Today (Friday, as I write this) it’s a GoMacro bar with black coffee. I love that our cravings and needs change each day and that with intuitive eating, we’re able to honor those cravings and needs, one day at a time.
I then got to work and began meeting with clients for the day. In between my morning client and noon meeting I snacked on this peanut butter chocolate chip GoMacro bar with black coffee (a favorite combo of mine and literally what I’m eating/sipping as I write this post!).
After that meeting I took a break from work and walked Abby to get some movement and refresh myself. While we were walking I sipped on a green juice from Evolution (no picture but it’s this one).
Before my afternoon client, I made myself a small meal: flatbread with gyro, tzatziki, and thin slices of red onion. Holy heavens this is so good and took me literally 1-minute to make.
Do you consider “fast food” like this to be bad for you? Or do you consider this small meal to not have enough veggies? What rules come up for you as you see this? Any?
Next month, I’m going to be leading all of the students in The Growth Vault through loads of gratitude, food, meal ideas, and lots of Trader Joe’s love.
We’ll share meals virtually, I’ll teach them my favorites to make, and I’ll lead them through simple, gentle nutrition and feel-good eating that leaves you feeling mega-satisfied and like your best self.
TGV, I haven’t even share with you that we’re doing this yet! Surprise! Get ready for an email introducing it to ya next week! You get this all as part of your membership, superstar 🙂
If you’re not in TGV yet, why not?! I’m closing the vault doors on Wednesday – so ya better get in! It’s your last chance to join us now for the rest of summer!
For dinner our friends Shane and Shannon came over with baby Bray. We all know baby Bray by now, right? 😉 Got a few pics below. He’s the BEST.
We made salmon with dill, olive oil, and lemon (wrapped this baby in foil and the BBQ did the rest!), harvest grains (soooo good), sautéed bok choy (the green) and stuffed mushrooms.
We also had a few pieces of shrimp with shrimp cocktail sauce that Shane whipped up, and wine. Oh and a few pieces of dark chocolate to top it all off. Gosh, what a great meal!
It was summer storming outside and the evening was perfect. I use that word sparingly, but honestly, last night felt pretty close to perfect to me. I ended work, did a quick workout with Marco, and then we BBQ’d with friends in our backyard.
All in all, it was such a fantastic day. I’m excited for the weekend, to spend time with Marco and Abby, outside, adventuring. We’re taking another trip to Boca Lake for the day. We did this last weekend and loved it.
On Saturday we’re checking out a fun tent trailer. We’re engaging again with our interests in camping. We sold our camper (not sure if I shared this here?) earlier this year. We miss it so much already. We’re ready for more!
I hope you all have a beautiful weekend. If you’re hungry for new, simple meal ideas, you want to know all of my favorite combinations from TJ’s, you’re ready to incorporate gentle nutrition into your intuitive eating journey, and you want someone to lay this all out for you, join us in The Growth Vault while you’ve still got the chance.
I’m laying it out for you straight — no fluff. We will start digging into these things in early August and if you don’t join now, you will miss it. I close the vault doors this Wednesday so I can focus on my members – now is the time to join.
Love you guys so much. I really do. Thank you for being here and I hope your weekend is full of what brings you to life. You deserve that.
