I’m here with a daily eats/life post :).
Before we dive in, a reminder: I share these eats to be an example of what is possible for you in your relationship with food. To show that you can experience calm and ease with food.
You can eat what you enjoy, listen to your body and let go of the need for rules around food (and still feel good in your body!). As a result you are able to live a life that has plenty of room to focus on what is important to you.
Monday morning started off with work, coffee and worship music in my PJs’s. After a couple hours of work (I shared this weekend eats post with you!) I made breakfast: two slices of toasted Ezekiel with avocado slices and one egg on top of each (plus coffee with milk and stevia).
Breakfast was about 9:30. It held me over for a few hours until about 12:30 when I wanted lunch. While I heated up lunch I enjoyed a cookie that my friend Corrine made with coffee.
For lunch I had leftovers from the night before (we went to Su Casa in Paso Robles): one slice of Mexican pizza, the other half of my enchilada and the rest of my tortilla soup. Yum!
After lunch Marco and I went through and organized our entire garage. We’re in the cleaning/organizing spirit lately! Getting ready for our Selah girl – trying to have everything set up to be as simple as possible.
Around 3:30 we went to the gym. Before we left, I snacked on this banana (shared a few bites with Marco) and drank tons of water.
About 6:00 our friends came over for dinner. Our dinner? Leftovers from the weekend. We pulled out all of ours, they brought theirs. Football and leftovers!
The first of our leftovers: a cheese plate. We snacked on this while chatting and letting dinner heat up.
For my leftover plate I had a couple wings (ate two), mac n’ cheese with pulled pork, a small slice of Mexican pizza, and one rib. It was great! I’m thankful for friends who like leftovers just like us.
Tuesday started with an early morning wake-up, hopping in the shower and getting ready, and a quick breakfast before heading out to get my labs done and go to the dentist. For breakfast: two slices of Ezekiel and eggs.
I got home from my appointments at about 2:30 and was so hungry. I made a sandwich with steamed deli chicken, salami, avocado, lettuce, mustard and mayo… plus a side of leftover rice pilaf with avo and one buffalo wing.
For dinner we went over to our friends Mike and Corrines house to watch Taking Cara Babies newborn class together. It was great! We’re about halfway through. It was a lot, but great information. We paused midway so we could digest what we’d learned so far. I’m excited about this class! Have you taken it?
For dinner we ordered in pizza from a local pizza shop and paired it with a caesar salad we had at Corrine’s house. So yum! I had one slice and refilled my caesar salad. I was leaving room for milk and a brownie!
For dessert: milk and a warm gooey brownie. Yum! So delicious. Such a good and cozy night. We cuddled up on the couch with the boys and our dogs to watch football and headed home around 8:30.
Today was another early wake-up and shower day for me. I got ready right away and snacked on this GoMacro bar at about 7:00 with coffee. I had a second cleaning (my teeth so needed a good cleaning – pregnancy makes everything in the dental area a bit more sensitive and truth be told it’s been way too long since I’d been to the dentist. My teeth feel pearly white now!).
I got home about 10:30 and made Marco and I breakfast. Eggs and sourdough. My stomach was still growling after this, but I decided to just let it settle for a bit and knew I could eat again right when we got home (I felt totally satisfied within about 10 min).
We headed out to the gym after breakfast. I got a great workout. My pregnancy hormones have been fantastic and I have so much energy. I even got to do a little bit of running, which had me grinning from ear to ear.
When we got home I took Abby down the street to the park to throw her ball with her for 30 minutes. Then came home and showered. Then made lunch before starting some afternoon work (which I’m doing now as I write to all of you 🙂 – no clients today).
Lunch: a sandwich with steamed deli meat, mayo/mustard, avocado, and lettuce on Ezekiel. A few crinkle cut chips on the side, plus some pepperoncinis and pickled jalapeños.
After lunch I hit “brew” on a cup of decaf coffee while I did the dishes and cleaned up. I wanted black coffee with a brownie for a midday dessert. Yum! Hit the spot.
Now I’m working for a few hours before I head over to my friend Brittany’s house for dinner and some good quality girl time. We’re having tortilla soup.
