Daily Eats: Quarantine Style – Stay Home Diaries #15

This is the 15th Stay Home Diaries daily eats I have written. We’ve been under the Stay At Home order here in SLO since March 19th.

At first it felt weird. Sort of glorious. Like, no one was asking me to do anything. I could stay home, dream, read, relax. Had no where to go. It was heaven.

Then I hit the point where I would give ANYTHING to see friends.

Then I got discouraged. Like this was never going to end.

And now… it’s starting to feel so… normal.

I’m not sure if that’s a good or bad thing! Ha. But that’s how it is for me.

How about for you?

Today, I’m here with a few days of eats. Next week, I’m going to start writing a bit more on topics again. Less daily eats. You have loads here to browse. If you follow me on Pinterest all of my eats are organized there too.

Tuesday

Leftover Chicken Villa from the night before. Chicken, jalapeno, mushroom, cheese, rice, beans, tortilla.

Lunch - Rice cooked in chicken broth (so creamy and good!), butternut squash, asparagus, and ground beef.

I toasted some bread my friend Bry made (sourdough with rosemary and lemon!) and topped it with guacamole.

Wednesday

Mr. Pickles on the way home for lunch. On the drive home I had a little bag of sea-salt and vinegar chips, so by the time I ate my sandwich, half felt like enough

Wednesday morning I didn’t get hungry for breakfast so I skipped it.

I worked in the vineyard, ran, grocery shopped, and picked up Mr. Pickles on the way home for lunch. On the drive home I had a little bag of sea-salt and vinegar chips, so by the time I ate my sandwich, half felt like enough.

I saved the other half for dinner, and…

Thursday

Breakfast – coffee with eggs, toast, and chicken breakfast sausage (from Trader Joe’s, my fav!). I was so happy to have gone to Trader Joe’s this week. You guys, I haven’t been since early March!

Toasted my last little square of sourdough and had it with guac and tzatziki

While I was making lunch I toasted my last little square of sourdough and had it with guac and tzatziki. Yum!

Lunch was tortilla with chicken sausage, arugula, and tzatziki. I had two of these wraps!

DELICIOUS blood orange seltzer water - you guys, new fav!

While making dinner I sipped on this DELICIOUS blood orange seltzer water – you guys, new fav!

Dinner was this tarte (like a pizza but WAY thin) with brie cheese and tomatoes.

And ate all of it while watching Julie and Julia on Netflix. Such a fun movie!

And had a chocolate peanut butter cup and a couple of squares of dark chocolate for dessert
