Day 5: Routine Challenge

The secret sauce to creating an intentional routine that truly creates the life you want to live.

Today was easier waking up! Is it beginning to be easier the longer I follow through? Yes!

I’ve been going to bed at 9:30 to wake up at 5:30 and last night I went to bed at 10:30. I thought to myself “Dang, I’m going to be tired in the morning but it’s okay, just one more day!”

I woke up this morning and actually wanted to get up. It’s like the possibility of being too tired KEEPING ME from waking up made me want it more. Ha! Only because I’ve discovered the benefits this week and truly believe waking up early is what makes me most happy.

Yesterday I said that tomorrow (Friday) I’d probably sleep in. Probably not. Ha! I have a bachelorette party this weekend in Palm Springs (wahoo!) and I want to be up to have quiet time, breakfast, work, and get myself ready to leave the house by 10:30 AM for my flight. Yeah, there won’t be sleeping in tomorrow. I can sleep on the plane if need be.

Though, I’m super excited to dig into more thought work on the plane because THIS STUFF IS BLOWING MY OWN DARN MIND. How our thoughts want to keep up safe and how we can decide on what we want to create/do ANYWAY. This is the secret sauce, you guys!

I want to really find out and explore *WHAT ELSE I WANT.* Because this week has proven to me that we can work through ANY thoughts that are holding us back and we CAN create what we want.

This verse is feeling real to me this week – I actually believe it: 26 But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” Matthew 19:26.

Today’s routine was morning quiet time, writing this blog post, walking Abby while listening to a Podcast, “feeling cute” (did you see my Instagram story about this?), and working with clients from 10:00 – 6:00 PM. I’m excited!

Some of you have been sending me screenshots of your routine and @milk_and_honey_life (Charlotte!) sent me hers, where instead of writing “get dressed” she writes “feel cute.” That’s SO much more fun to me. I’m going to borrow that for a lifetime now, Charlotte. So thank you!

This is my last post before Monday, friends. But if you want to continue hanging out come be with me over on Instagram @paigeschmidt as I head to Palm Springs with my GF’s this weekend.

I’ll be back Monday to share about the weekend and talk MORE about routine and CREATING what we want, next week.

Keep it goin! You’re doing great. Think about what is in your best interests, decide on those things in advance, EXPECT your brain to want to stop you from doing those things if they’re new, and then go and do them anyway.

You’ve got this! And if you’re like me and need routine AND spontenaity and you’ve been keeping routine all week, have a fun, spontaneous, routine free weekend.

Sending you boat loads and boat loads of love.
