Doctors Visit Today
July 3, 2014
Good morning sweets!
I woke up bright and early today to walk with my friend Aubrey downtown Ventura. So glad she drove over to meet me! We landed ourselves at Starbucks to spit a wrap and sip on soy lattes.
I’m somewhat dreading what I have to do today… but at the same time, trying to stay positive.
Birth Control.
I have a visit to the doc this morning to make my decisions about it. I don’t have much longer to deicide. Today is the day. If I am being honest, I’m flippin’ nervous. I had a terrible experience before. But, if I’m being honest again, I’m going into this with a positive mindset. I’m going into this thinking “okay, this could turn out great, and work really well.” If you sense that I’m being overly optimistic, don’t tell me. Ha!
I know there are other options, and that makes me feel good. I figure I may as well try this route, see how it goes and if I end up not liking it I can always stop.
Here are my eats yesterday:
My day started with a banana and Step class. The class was awesome. I met my Dad there, and we got our butt’s kicked.
When I got home I made a really yummy breakfast wrap: one Ezekiel tortilla with two eggs, spinach, mushrooms, and t. of homemade pesto all wrapped up and melty. Mmm!
The day was gloomy yesterday… I don’t mind misty days like these. They’re a great time to slow down and get cozy.
For a mid-morning snack I enjoyed a nectarine.
I guess you could call this Green Smoothie lunch? I didn’t really have a full meal. More like snacked through the afternoon 🙂
Next couple snacks were Cocoa SuperSeedz (review coming soon — you guys are going to love these!) and carrots with hummus.
Zoom in and you’ll see this sweet gift that my Client brought for Marco and I! A recipe book! I’m so excited to print out mine and my Dads recipe for this book. I’d share all of the recipes here, but we’ve got something brewing on our own 😉
While cooking dinner last night I shared this little bowl of peanuts with Marco. He grilled last night! He made us Turkey burger patties and I made the healthy loaded baked taters.
On mine: sliced tomato, broccoli, and a mixture of sautéed onions, bell peppers, and mushrooms all chopped up
On his: a mixture of sautéed onions, bell peppers, and mushrooms plus cheese & sour cream.
On the side we had turkey burger patties. Mine, no cheese. His, Havarti (best cheese!) This was a super filling dinner. We each packed half of our baked taters into his lunch pail with an extra turkey burger and the leftover pesto pasta from the night before. Quick packed lunch!
Ladies: what are your guys favorite meals? Marco is the opposite of picky. He’ll eat anything that I cook (thankfully) but I do want to make him something really special and hearty — tell me your mans fav. food to have you cook!Â
Alright… I’m off to that dreaded *super optimistic* appointment of mine. Eeeerk!
Love, Paige
