Double Daily Eats + Primary Food Fulfilled
July 24, 2014
Good morning all! Sleep well? How was your day yesterday?
I mentioned on my facebook yesterday that a double blog post was coming today! So, here it is! Like the HHS facebook page for more constant updates and communication 🙂
Let’s get started with two full days of Daily Eats, shall we?
Tuesday and Wednesday.
Breakfast
Eggs and Ezekiel toast with Kerrygold Butter.
Mid-Morning
Clif Bar — Chocolate Chip Peanut Crunch. What’s your favorite flavor?
Lunch
Rosemary Raisin crackers with Chevere Honey Goat Cheese and blueberries.
I actually ate a few crackers while I was standing and making this plate, so I added them into this photo (to show you all), and then took them back out. Ha! Got a little ahead of myself there 😉
This is how I enjoyed it. Yum!
Afternoon
Two-three hours after my cheese/blueberries/crackers I was hungry again, so, I made this bowl of goodness.
One banana, blueberries (buried), granola, slivered almonds, and plain greek yogurt on top with honey. Yum!
When it’s all mixed. Eeeeerk 🙂 So good!
A couple of hours after that, I made Marco and I a snack before we went to get our teeth cleaned. We were both pretty hungry and knew we wouldn’t be eating dinner until 7:30/8:00. Ezekiel, mayo, and 2 slices of turkey open-faced. So simple!
Dinner
Dinner was the item on this weeks Meal Plan that I said you can’t knock until you try it!
Gosh… the photo doesn’t help! BUT, if you like tuna, and you like split pea soup, you’ll like this.
Split Pea Soup & Tuna Over Toast: toast one piece of Ezekiel (or make a Grilled Cheese like I did for M). While that’s toasting, bring 2 cans of Split Pea Soup and two cans of drained Albacore Tuna (in water) to a boil. Reduce to low, cover, and let warm together. Butter your toast, lay it in a bowl, and pour the soup over the toast. Enjoy!
Petite-Treat
Tuesday night I baked Marco cookies. I enjoyed one and then stuck with my smoothie. They were super yummy 🙂 They’re the TJ’s brand that you take home and bake 🙂
My smoothie was ice, almond milk, banana, PB, and flaxseed. I made enough to have twice, so I still have some in the fridge today 🙂
Okay, onto Wednesday.
Breakfast
Eggs & toast.
Mid-Morning
Chocolate Chip Clif bar after my final Wedding appointment 🙂 Mom and I went to Whole Foods & Target, and I snacked on this as we walked around. We also got coffee’s at Starbucks. Love my Mom.
Lunch
Lunch was Fish N’ Chips & Salad that I split with my Mom from Andrea’s. We went out for my Uncle Dave’s Birthday 🙂
Best Fiance I Could Ever Ask For!
After lunch with my family I came home, worked, and then headed back out for the bank, getting gas, picking up Mom, and headed to my Final Dress Fitting. Which by the way, went really well! We picked up the dress this time!
Right after my appointment, Marco called to see how everything went. I just want to take a moment (or two) to share the sweet things he repeatedly does… because it means a huge amount to me.
When he called, he said “I know you’ve had a busy day — do you want me to pick up dinner for us?” First sweetest thing. I thanked him but had plans to cook at home. After the appointment I went home to:
- unpacked new wine glasses
- cleaned dishes
- a made bed
- the music on
- the trash taken out
- the mail brought in
- a big hug & kiss
- and the sweetest note on my white board
Talk about an encouraging partner. These are the things… When people put in time to show you that they love you. I guess I’m a Words of Affirmation/Act’s of Service Girl, aren’t I? 🙂 <– Five Love Languages.
Dinner
So, when it was time to make dinner I poured a glass of wine in my new wine glasses (thanks Terry & Jinna!) and made dinner with the music on. Ah. Good night 🙂
Dinner was beyond me good. I don’t even know how to describe how much I loved it, ha!
Easy Shrimp Stir Fry with Harvest Grains: cook two bags of Trader Joe’s Shrimp Stir Fry (add 1/2T of butter towards the end. Cook Trader Joe’s Harvest Grains (add 1/2T butter towards the end — calls for this, but wait until the end instead of putting it in with the water). Have the two together. Enjoy!
Petite-Treat
After dinner, Marco and I watched Netflix together (pretty much nightly routine). I ended my night with a piece of 86% dark chocolate and cuddles with my boy. Primary Food (non-food sources of nourishment) tank = entirely full.
Now for another good day. Remember, my goal this week is: to enjoy every last day of being just engaged 🙂
Love, Paige
