Ending the 7 Day Slim Down a day early!
Hello everyone! Haven’t been able to check-in all day. I’ve been so busy! But good busy!
This morning, I woke and took Noah for a walk. We were gone about 35 minutes. It’s always nice to be outside in the morning! My favorite part is when there are other people out and you get to say “Good morning” as you pass by. That always brings a smile to my face, and starts my day off right!
After the walk, I came home and made the Slim Down Scramble, minus the tomato and salt. I missed the tomato!
A short while after breakfast, I had half a grapefruit with stevia.
I actually crave grapefruit now. Who woulda thought? I didn’t like it before!
Next, I got myself ready for a day spent with my Momma.
First, we stopped and got strawberries for my cousins baby shower tomorrow. We are bringing dark-chocolate covered strawberries! Yum! I can’t wait! π
The stand we stopped at was called Terry’s Berries. If you live in Ventura and are curious, this is the stand of Telephone Road, near Kimball. The strawberries were so yummy! A little bit pricier than the grocery store, but really delicious!
After that, my Mom and I did some shopping at Target, and then decided to grab some lunch.
For meal 3, I had a salad with chicken and balsamic from Urbane Cafe. Yes, very plain, but I wanted to stick to Day 6 as much as I could, because I am ending the 7 Day Slim Down early π
Why am I ending it early? Well, my reasoning for going on the 7DSD, was to give my body a break from eating any processed foods (plus, like a million girls on Tone It Up are doing it at the same time, and I just couldn’t pass it up!). I like to do this every once in a while, because it’s makes my body feel great, my mind feel good, and brings my taste-buds back to loving the most natural foods! It’s all a good thing for me, otherwise I wouldn’t do it.
Well, I feel perfectly satisfied with the amount that I have completed, and I am ending a day early so that I can enjoy my cousins baby shower tomorrow, chocolate dipped strawberries and all! π
I continued to stick to day 6 through Meal 4, and had a bowl of berries. This is actually a great little snack π
I stuck them in this container while they were frozen, and brought them with me babysitting tonight.
I also brought dinner (meal 5). This was not on the day 6 plan, so this is where I am ending π
This is low-sodium tomato soup, tofu, and spinach. I seasoned this with garlic powder, and “everyday seasoning” from Trader Joe’s.
I am super sensitive to sodium right now, and this definitely was LOW sodium! Haha, it lacked a little flavor, so I added a bit of lemon juice, and that did it for me. It gave it just the kick it needed π
And for my “dessert” (more fun to call it that, hehe) I had a chocolate ZICO water.
I picked this up at Fresh & Easy today ($1.99), along with a Pineapple one! Can’t wait to try the Pineapple tomorrow! Speaking of tomorrow, I am super excited for the whole day!
Just a little tip girls…Β when you’re going through any challenge in life (as I am right now), push yourself to get out of the house and do the things you love! I can’t tell you how much better I felt today (compared to this morning) as I went out and hungout with my Momma, did some shopping, and then played all night with the kids I babysat. It was so refreshing, and because of that I am filling up my day tomorrow also!
I am waking up early, taking Noah for a walk, going to Church at 8, then spending time with my friend Aubrey and her son Tyeson (going to coffee & shopping), and then I’m going to be with all of the women in my family for the celebration of my cousin Shannah’s baby boy who is on his way into this world!
It always feels good to do the things you love, so do them, and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise! You be YOU! Like Dr. Suess says, “Today you are you, that is truer than true, there is no one in the world who is youer than you!” This is one of my favorite quotes. It makes me happy π
Anyway, I will see you all back here in the morning! Enjoy your Saturday nights π
