Friday Festivities
September 21, 2012
Good morning everyone! I hope you all slept great! Yesterday was a great day.
I got to rest up for most of the afternoon, then went running, and then out with Marco’s family.
For breakfast, I made a egg n’ “cheese” sandwich
I first slightly toasted the sourdough bread, then smeared pesto around. I added in my just cooked egg & some daiya vegan cheese on top of that. Then I put the sammy in the George Foreman Grill, and let it all melt together. Oooie perfection! (To be honest, the real cheese is more tasty!)

After breakfast, I witnessed Ponyo catching a fly. Look at that guilty face toward the end!
Around lunchtime, I put together a yogurt bowl.
Plain, non-fat greek yogurt + organic honey, 1/2 a banana, gluten-free granola, and pom seeds.
For a snack before my run, several hours later, I made a smoothie with banana, rice milk, peanut butter, flaxseed, cocoa, and ice. Mmmm! This is just like my blenders but healthier just because it’s made at home!
About 30 minutes after my smoothie, I went for a 3+ (not sure the exact mileage here) run with Marco. About half a mile into it, we stopped at the Farmers Market to meet my Dad.
We picked up:
Squaw Bread, organic strawberries, celery, cilantro, and brussel sprouts. Mmm! Wish I had a picture, but I couldn’t run with my camera!
After that, Marco & I walked a while over the house I used to live in (the couple months I moved out with friends). Our friends weren’t home, so we continued on and ran the rest of the way. It was a great workout, especially on the way back because it was uphill! Once again, my favorite part was just being with him. I can’t tell you how much more fun it makes running! I am already looking forward to our run today.
After our run, he went to the gym to lift, and I went home to get ready. We went out to dinner with his Grandparents, and his Grandmothers sisters and her brother in law. We ended up at Eric Ericson’s Fish Co. out on the Pier in Ventura. Marco got a cup of Clam Chowder, and I had a couple bites to taste. So good!

For dinner, I ordered a Ceasar Salad + seared Ahi. Mmm. So good. I left the toasted bread behind. The salad was satisfying enough 🙂
This was our view out the window. It was beautiful! Although my camera didn’t do the best job of capturing it.
After dinner, Marco + I headed over to the Mall to try and find him a portable closet for his newly bought suits. No luck there! We searched high & low and there was nothing to be found. What we did find though was Coffee Bean! Marco treated me to a Strawberry Cream Green Tea Latte w/ Soy! Soooo good!
Okay, I am off to babysit! I hope you all have a beautiful day. I should be back soon to post more… I am feeling like posting TODAY about TODAY, Today…. Did you catch that? Hehe, see you beauties soon!
