Good Mofternoon
March 6, 2013
Good mofternoon!
I text my best friend, Kayla, around 11:30 and said, “Good morning. Ish.”
She wrote back saying “Good Mofternoon.” I thought it was perfect, haha
So, yesterday!
For breakfast, I had a yogurt parfait in a super cute mug 🙂
Plain greek yogurt + agave, blueberries, chia seeds, and maple/oat gluten-free granola
A few hours later, while babysitting, I toasted (very toasty) one of my energy bagels for a yummy snack. I love these!
I enjoyed that with a cup of tea. Tea + zero coffee = hopefully no more cold
Awe… sweet boy! He slept for so long, so peacefully
And when he woke up, I got tons of smiles
Later on, back at home, I made myself some lunch. Toast with avocado + split pea soup
I love this split pea soup from Trader Joes!
After lunch, I picked up Marco and we went to our Counseling appointment. It was so good. Counseling has been awesome for us!
After our appointment, we felt like going for a walk, and I felt like a small Passion Tea Latte. We did both of those things 🙂
We walked at the Harbor. Such a cozy walk. I don’t know why, but I love gray skies. Everything seems slow, easy, relaxing, and just good. Don’t get me wrong, I love sunny days too, but days like these just feel like a little break 🙂
For dinner, I made pasta, salad, and garlic bread. Mmmmmmmmmm. Soo good!
For the garlic bread, I just mixed olive oil + crushed garlic, brushed it over whole wheat bread, and toasted it. Oh, and I sprinkled it with s+p 🙂
For the salad, I used herb mix, garbanzo beans, tomatoes, and artichoke hearts. For the dressing, cranberry walnut gorgonzola (you can find this at TJ’s).
This dinner was soo good. Marco said “definitely top 5” when he tasted it. The pasta was so simple. Whole wheat noodles, steamed broccoli, and organic tomato basil marinara sauce + a little tiny sprinkle of parmesan cheese.
I had more of this pasta for lunch today. Actually, just a few minutes ago. It reminded me of how yummy it was!
For dessert, we each had 2 squares of dark chocolate. Actually, Marco had 4! Haha, I went to break a couple pieces from the bar, and I noticed that the last piece had been “broken off” differently than I would break it off. I looked at Marco, and he was already looking at me with a smirk. Haha, he had eaten it while he was waiting for me to get home.
After dinner we read one of our counseling books, cuddled on the couch, and drank tea. Well, I was the only one drinking tea. If I had hot coca, Marco might have had a drink. Hehe.
My cute boy. I love him 🙂
I hope you all have a wonderful day! I’m working right now, and the little one is sleeping. It trying to rain outside right now, and I’m hoping it will just start pouring! I love the rain.
