My First Assistant
June 24, 2014
Good morning beauties!
Yesterday for breakfast was the usual. Eggs & toast. At 9:45 Dad and I went to Step Class. I went to two classes this weekend too. I’ve been having so much fun with it! I’m telling ya… Springtime I want to run, Summertime I want to Step, Fall/Winter it’s usually more walking/elliptical. But boy, do I LOVE Step!
After Step I had Lentil/Turkey Masala that Dad made over the weekend. This was probably the third time I’ve had this meal. So yummy! Do you guys love Naan as much as I do? Mmm!
After lunch my parents, my Brother, Marco, and myself went to the beach with the dogs. I didn’t have my phone with me, otherwise I would have taken a video of Rumo and Noah running together (dogs). They had so much fun, and literally ran around off their leashes for two hours. We walked the whole beach.
Marco and I got home first. I made him lunch and then he became my first ever assistant. I told him “babe, you’re going to have to help me or I’m hiring out.” Ha! Seriously though — this is a lot of work! He was so helpful and helped me organize so many handouts and put them in each individual binder. We have another identical stack to go through. Thank you, Marco! I love you!
After the binder work I snacked on a nectarine before running errands for work. HHS takes a lot of attention. I came home from errands, worked a while more, and then my family came over for dinner. Dinner break! I was starving.
For dinner my parents made Carne Asada taco’s. Yummmmm. I had one more taco after this plate. So delicious. In my taco: carne asada, onions, cilantro, lettuce, tomatoes, spicy spicy salsa. We all sat around the couches in the living room and talked for hours.
Typically, you know me, I don’t like sitting on the couch. BUT, this was different. There were no distractions, just purely good company (hi Uncle Dave and Aunt Margie!), and it was just as relaxing as the table.
For a petite treat, I broke off a small piece of dark chocolate. Do you know how this little piece came to be? My Mom melted all of the Ghirardelli dark chocolate chips when she made chocolate dipped strawberries for my Bridal Shower. She took the leftover, poured it in a baking dish (maybe on parchment paper?) and froze it solid. Now, this is what we have. SO good.
Alrighty everyone. I’m heading off to make Marco & I breakfast. Enjoy your day! See you tomorrow 🙂
Love,
