My Happy Weekend :)
Good morning everyone!!! I missed you guys this weekend, but was so busy having fun that I didn’t make it to my computer. It’s been a very happy weekend with my Marco 🙂 Let me catch you up, starting with Sunday!
Yesterday morning, I woke up at 6am, got ready for Church, and sat down to Breakfast at 7am
Breakfast: 3/4 cup bran flakes + 1 cup berries & almond milk
…and for some protein, 1/2 cup Greek yogurt w/ 1 tsp. honey! Delish! Note to self, next time, sit the berries out overnight. They were frozen, and that was the most freezing bowl of ice cream (did I really just type ice cream? haha!!!) cereal I’ve ever had!
After breakfast, we took off to Church, and listened to this sermon. Yesterday while in Church, I decided that for my Birthday I want to give myself the gift of going on the Women’s Retreat toward the end of October.
We left Church around 10 and headed downtown Ventura to Savory Cafe & Bakery. DELISH! My service at this restaurant is always hit or miss, and it’s kinda the same with the food.. but when it’s a hit, it’s really a hit! I had a good feeling yesterday, and that good feeling was spot on!
I got an egg-white omelette with roasted garlic, mushroom, and caramelized onion with a side of fruit (really good fruit cup!!) and whole wheat toast (I gave 1 piece to Marco, and enjoyed 1 myself)
After breakfast, we had an all around random, and exciting day..! We messed around with some of our “visions” that we printed and pinned (actually pinned) on Saturday morning 😉
Here are the vision boards we made together 🙂
It was such a fun, cozy morning. I sipped on Coffee, we goofed off, looked up pictures, cut them all out, and put them on the boards that we bought early in the morning from Target.
Goofballs 🙂 I stayed in my PJ’s all day! Even when we went to look at houses! Yep, houses. Don’t worry, not to buy, yet 😉 A couple miles from our home they are building new places and we wanted to all go check out the models. That got us going, a lot! Too excited for the future? 🙂 (using way too many smilies right now?) 😉 🙂
Anyway, back to yesterday! After we goofed off, borrowed a Cadi from the dealership that we want to buy in the future (maybe- I think it honestly got 10 miles to the gallon. Unless the gas prices/fuel efficiency changes, I’m keeping my Prius forever! Haha), looked at a few other things ;), we went and got Fro-Yo! After Fro-Yo, we took the car back, went to the beached and walked around to get our toes in the sand. It was such a nice day, and we got to watch all the cute little kids learn to surf.
Right after the beach, Marco dropped me off and I went to hangout with my friend Jade. Hi Jade!!! She’s a sweetheart and reads my blog & I love her for it!! 🙂
We went to Coffee Bean where I got a small (No Sugar Added) Chai Tea Latte
After Coffee, I came back to my house where Marco met me, we went next door, hungout with my cousins, then made some dinner. I made dinner for my family last night and it was super yummy! I was happy that everyone liked it!
Dinner: whole wheat pasta w/ olive oil, pesto, italian spicy sausage, parmesan cheese, & s+p. We also had a salad on the side with sesame soy ginger dressing (from TJ’s), broccoli, cucumber, and sugar plum tomatoes. I ate the salad first and it filled me pretty good, so I gave half my pasta to Marco to finish. It’s easy to stop when I’m full when he’s around, he just takes over!
After dinner, Marco said “Man, I kinda want to go to Jack in the Box and get an Oreo Milkshake!” I said, if you’re going to have an Oreo Milkshake, let me make it for you. Don’t go to J in the B! Soo, I made him one! Every time he took a sip for the first few sips he would say “Mmmmmm…!” I was getting a great laugh out of it, plus, I felt like a really good girlfriend making him so happy 🙂
I took this photo with Instagram, and immediately when I posted it I got a text from my cousins next door asking me to bring more over. I had enough for one more, and took it for them to share 🙂
Okay, so that was my weekend! I’ll be back in a couple hours to post about today! Love to you all!
