New TJ’s Find! Love!
Good morning everyone! I’m excited it’s ‘today,’ partially because I am excited to share this smoothie recipe with you, and partially because it’s a new day, and new days are good 🙂
On Saturday when I was babysitting the family gave me a bag of Juice Plus Complete! I am sooo excited to have this on my hands, because it’s so yummy!
In my smoothie:
- 1/3 cup Juice Plus Complete (one scoop)
- handful of blueberries
- 1 small banana
- 1 pear
- a handful of fresh Kale
- a handful of spinach
- 1/2 cup almond milk
- a few splashes of apple juice
- some water to get everything blendin’
- about 5 mini carrots
There was so much deliciousness in this smoothie, and it was so healthy! I drank it in two servings.
How do you make your green smoothies?
After my first smoothie, Marco and I went to Trader Joe’s and I bought Crunchy (!! ;)) Green Beans
I’m slowly conquering my chips cravings…. (Ignore the fact that I eat chips later in this post, haha!)
I went from Tortilla/Potato chips over the Holidays… to Veggie Chips…. Now to green bean and lentil chips (bought lentil chips also)…. and next…. will probably be more green bean chips for a little…. and then to something crunchy like apples, carrots, salads… and so one… hmm… maybe Kale chips too!? As long as they are not Nacho Cheese… I despise Nacho Cheese Kale chips…!
Yesterday was a Sunday for Health Coaching…. Oh how I love my job…. So rewarding!
I now have 5 Clients in my first month of Health Coaching. Now that is awesome!
See what a good mood it puts me in? 😉
Some more snacking happened, but this time it was Trek Mix from Trader Joe’s
After two Sessions at home, I headed off to a local Coffee Shop, Simone’s, to do an in person Health Consultation. So nice to have a couple clients in person too. Although, my phone Sessions are just as sweet.
After work, I headed home to meet Marco and make us some Grilled Cheese Sandwiches. My auntie suggested I get the Red Pepper Spread with Eggplant from Trader Joe’s. OH MY GOSH!!!!! New favorite?! I used it this morning too…. that recipe will be up tomorrow!!
PS, I toasted my bread, and then stuck everything in the broiler instead of using a skillet. I love the broiler! Toasting is necessary first so there is no sogginess 🙂
Buy it. Seriously!
How cool are these ice cubes?
Melty Deliciousness:
- Omega-3 bread
- pesto spread on one side
- roasted bell pepper spread on the other
- havarti cheese…. mmmm!
- PS, notice the cheese placement…. if you’re going to divide your cheese the way I did, make sure you do it in the same direction I use… face all of the bread the same way, and lay the cheese identical on both slices. It doesn’t look like it would make sense, but once you flip the bread entirely over it works 🙂 PSS, the reason I didn’t just do a whole slice on one side is because the slice was bigger than the bread. Enough cheese placement talk….!
I caught Marco eating his sandwich really funny…. he was picking up his plate and taking bites like so… haha! That’s how my brother eats his burritos!
After our yummy grilled cheeses we drove an hour to Santa Monica, shopped around, acted silly, and went out for drinks at Cabo Cantina. When I order a drink I always get Vodka Soda with extra lemon and a water. I switch between the Vodka and water so it doesn’t hit me too hard. Plus, I find that people (including myself) will order too many drinks because they really just want something to sip on while hanging out with friends. Just order one, have some water, and then order another if you want one.
To go with our drinks we got chips and Guac! I told Marco I was in Heaven. I’ve never ordered chips with a drink before, but I always crave it! Craving satisfied! 😉
After our drinks, we walked around some more and then went to dinner. Instead of odering another meal (I wasn’t that hungry) I got a side salad and a cup of soup. So good!
Such a fun date night with my love 🙂
