Raw + Running

Friday

Hello everyone! Happy Saturday! Yesterday, I was out of the house again for most of the day, so I packed up a lunch.

PB LARABAR, Almonds (didn’t eat), yogurt w/ pom seeds + honey (added later), and a zucchini from our garden.

This is Rumo wondering around our backyard yesterday morning. It’s so hard to get a good picture of him! He runs away as soon so the camera comes out

Also to take babysitting, GREEN JUICE! Celery, Kale, Zucchini (better with apples!)

Look at that sweet face!

For breakfast I made Oatmeal w/ almond butter + goji berries. The goji berries were much more “spicy” than I imagined.

I feel like a lot of superfoods we expect to be sweet (because they’ve been covered in Hersey’s) are actually quite bitter!

For lunch, I cooked up the zucchini in coconut oil + water, and shared it with 1/3 a perfectly ripe avo

She had a healthy lunch too, lentils + avo! Look at that face 🙂

For dinner, Marco + I had Mary’s Secret Garden

For him:

The Cilantro Chycken Sandwich

Homemade Pistachio-Cilantro Pesto, Grilled Veggie Chycken, Chipotle Cashew Cheeze,Tomatoes, Red Onions, Avocado and Grilled Jalapeño Peppers on a Whole Grain Bun

After dinner, we went to Lassen’s, our local health food store.

On my grocery list yesterday:

Raw Cocoa Powder

Organic Celery

Organic Apples

Organic, local honey

Organic Alfalfa Sprouts

When we got back to my house, we snacked on just a few deeeeeeelicious yam chips my Dad cooked up. Mmmm!

14.jpg

And, I used 3 apples, handfuls of kale, and an entire bunch of celery to make these two super green juices!

They are for the next couple of days. Mmm!

For our Petite Treat, I put frozen bananas through the juicer (homogenizing feature) + added in raw cacoa powder.

It was very different, but I liked it. It almost had a spicy ish flavor to it. Marco is more sensitive to bitter, and he thought it had a black liquorish taste to it, which I don’t like! I didn’t taste that in it. It was definitely not your typical milk chocolate bar though. Anyway, I had so much energy after eating this that Marco + I went for a run! Say hello to the start of running for us! It was so much fun. He was goofing off the entire time 🙂

I ended my night lusting over Fall Fashions.

I love fall! It is my favorite season! I talked about this yesterday with my hairdresser! I got my hair done! Pictures to come 🙂

Question of the day:

Are you a runner? How did you get yourself started?

Love, Paige
