Tea > Coffee These Days

Good morning everyone! Hope you all slept well!

Here are my eats from Tuesday & Wednesday

Breakfast was organic, whole milk yogurt with agave, organic raisins, raw cacao, half a banana, and a sprinkle of granola for crunch

After breakfast, I had a yummy cup of Tealeaves Matcha Tea. SO good! I’ve been drinking more tea than Coffee the last few days, and I’ve been adjusting well. By no means am I giving up Coffee, I love it. I am however trying to drink less to balance out the acid/alkaline balance in my body.

When I do drink Coffee, I want to drink higher quality Coffee. That’s why this week I will be visiting Beacon Coffee, as they have offered to give me a free bag!

For lunch, I had two slices of Ezekeil

One with pesto, avocado, and red chili peppers &

the other with pesto, sliced tomato, and basil seasoning

Both had sea salt too. These were so good! I could have put them together and made a sandwich, but this felt more fun 🙂

Snack later in the day was a banana

After the Gym, I stopped at Ralph’s to pick up some ingredients to make Bielers Broth.

This is supposed to also help my body become more alkaline. Trying to get that balance! If you’re wondering what foods are alkaline and which foods are acidic, here’s a good chart I found on Mind Body Green

Dinner was split pea soup with tuna melts, minus the cheese for me. I did a no mayo tuna by mixing tuna, basil seasoning, olive oil, sea-salt, and pepper in a small food processor for just a few seconds. It turned out great!

Breakfast was oatmeal with flaxseed, a whole banana, and water. It was topped with organic coconut, raisins, a sprinkle of granola, and sunflower seed butter

Lunch was a chocolate superfood smoothie!

  • 1 banana
  • 2 tbsp. raw cacao
  • 2 tbsp. flaxseed
  • 1 cup water
  • ice cubes

This was so good! And literally, so healthy. My Peanut Butter version (+ cacao) is also great, but this is great for when you want something that is lighter, but feels just as filling.

Later in the afternoon I enjoyed a cup of Winter Escape Tea from Tealeaves. Honestly, this tea spoils me! I drank more after dinner when Marco and I went to small group

An hour before dinner, I got snack and had a few saltine crackers with sunflower butter (the picture came out way too blurry) and my Bieler’s Broth. I don’t consider this broth a snack, or a meal. To me, it’s just medicine.

For dinner, chile verde tostadas. Seriously, one of my favorite meals that my Dad makes. They’re PERFECT and everything is completely from scratch (exempt the shell). Dad even makes the beans himself. Ah. Heaven.

And again here….
