Update: Picture Overload
Good morning everyone!
It’s Monday, and I am up super early before my 7:30am job. I figured I’d throw a blog post out there 🙂
Now, nearly 1 month later (wow, really?) life has gotten much better. I would love to say it’s been on the up and up, but really, that wouldn’t be true. The truth, is life has been on the up and down, up and down, up and down. Most days feel like a roller-coaster, but another truth, is that it feels better to feel my feelings that to ignore then, and just be “up” all of the time.
To report, I feel like I am doing pretty good. Here is what I’ve been up to!
Spending time with friends –
Cafe Nouveau breakfast reunion with my girls! Our favorite spot!
Lot’s of shopping that day too… it’s dangerous hanging out with girl friends 😉
Lunch with my Lula at Spencer McKenzies! Another absolute favorite!
More getting ready. New Jacket from H&M that I am in love with 🙂
(Link provided if you like it too!)
Spending time with my best friend Kayla. She did my makeup!
We went out in LA to The Rack, had a drink, shared chips + guac, and talked the whole night 🙂
I love her. Seriously! Next weekend is her Birthday and a group of us are going out to celebrate her. I can hardly wait!
She even made me a latte the next morning! Look at that!
You wouldn’t believe it, but she made is using espresso, almond milk, maple syrup, and vanilla protein powder. There was a little magic with the Blender Bottle too. I’m going to have to get her to post on it 😉
I’ve celebrated Easter with my family in the pouring rain
Notice the shirts in front of me? We were all soaking wet, but everyone was still celebratin’!
I’ve had fun with my little munchkins.
Seriously, how could you not have fun with this one?
Or this one!
Visited a Park with the girls that holds many childhood memories! Seriously, how cool is that?
While we were there, we found Marco’s handprint on a pillar of tiles. It was so cute! From 1995!
And, as always, I’ve enjoyed some really good food!
One of my favorites this week has been plain green yogurt, sunflower butter, goji berries, fruit, and granola all mixed together. In fact, I’m headed over to the kitchen to make that for breakfast after this post 😉
On Saturday, Kayla and I went to Follow Your Heart and got Tofu Wraps. Those wraps inspired me to make my own Tofu wraps at home. SO GOOD!
- Spinach tortilla
- Tofu sauteed in teryaki
- red quinoa
- a little mozz cheese
- chopped lettuce
- chopped tomato
- red bell pepper spread
- fresh home made guac
- and a little ‘sour cream’ (plain greek yogurt)
I’m actually about to make another one of these to take to work today 🙂
And it can all happen even in the tiniest kitchen space!
For dinner last night, I made Salmon, brown rice, asparagus, and avocado.. It was delicious!
Today, I’m am going to bask in the wonderfulness of yesterday. It was such a good day…
Step Circuit Class, Trader Joe’s, Church, good food, the beach, finally finding a Coco Cafe Latte (will try today), and The Notebook. Ahhh. I loved it! I had the entire day off yesterday, and enjoyed every single bit of it.
