Daily Eats: When You Want Two Different Meals At Once…
Good-morning all, and happy Friday to ya! Yesterday started off with my recent breakfast favorite, waffles with yogurt, almond butter, and peaches. Yum! Actually, the day started off with the gym at 5:30, and then breakfast followed. I was nice and hungry by the time I got home.
I started work around 7:00. I had a lot to do, and finished everything early. At 9:00 I jumped on a training call with Holistic MBA (it’s their Core training – feel free to ask me about it). I walked around town while listening to the conference call which felt nice as I do not enjoy sitting down while listening to trainings (I can’t focus as well).
I found myself really hungry right before 11:00 hit, so I made lunch: wild rice & chicken soup with avocado toast AND a scoop of pesto pasta (I’d made this earlier in the week for Marco to have for lunches).
I had a lunch time dilemma that was easily solved. I wanted two different meals. So, I had both! You’ve probably seen me do this before, and it’s times like these where I most appreciate intuitive eating and not having food rules. It feels so fun to give myself permission to have BOTH foods!
After lunch I got back to work. I had a full day of client sessions, which I always love. My one on ones are so special to me. I made a smoothie around 3:00 as my belly was a-rumblim’. I was super hungry yesterday and just went with it. This smoothie had: rice milk, a banana, a big ol’ handful of spinach, blueberries, and a spoonful of almond butter.
The smoothie was enough to hold me over until about 5:30, when my belly growl returned. Marco got home around 6:15 and then we ate dinner. Same thing as the last two nights: brown rice, chicken, and broccoli. We’re out of avo’s – gotta grab more!
I was exhausted at the end of the day yesterday. I clunked out around 8:30 after some Netflix with my Hubby (we’re loving Royal Pains!)… Good thing, because today’s a 4:30 wake up call since Marco has to work. *Yawwwwn.*
I hope you all have a great weekend! Love on yourself and your favorite people LOTS. If you need some extra motivation to love on yourself, grab my 30-Days to Loving Yourself calendar below (in the teal box)!
