Wine Tasting + Weekend Eats
March 10, 2017
Happy Friday y’all! Ah, the weekend is here. Today, I’m sharing eats with you from last weekend. This post is full of girly-fran pictures, because that’s what last weekend consisted of. So fun! Let’s jump in.
Reminder: the purpose of sharing my eats with you is not so that you can compare your eats to mine, but rather, my hope is that you would find encouragement in these posts to listen to your own body and to eat intuitively without rules. To give you freedom!
Sunday
Sunday morning started off with breakfast at Big Sky with my friends Jen, Chelsea, and Asia.
Yum…! I love Big Sky. For breakfast, I ordered coffee and this yummy pesto sausage scramble. Inside: bell peppers, spinach, tomato, mozzarella cheese, and other things that I can’t remember (because their breakfast menu is not online – sad!).
I also enjoyed two of these adorable mini-muffins. This one is a corn bread with something spicy… jalapeño? Whatever it is… it’s my fav. So good!
Jen and I having a little photoshoot at breakfast 😉 Love this girl! Thanks Asia for being our photographer, always!
After breakfast (more like brunch, since it was around 11:00) we walked home and I quickly got ready to go wine tasting with another group of girl friends. We went to Paso Robles, and it was beautiful! We rented an SUV for the day, which was the best idea ever because it allowed us to relax and have fun.
Our first stop was at Daou, which is literally the most beautiful winery I have ever seen… I took a photo of the view from every direction because – WOW. The view just never ends!
My girl friends and I getting blown away in the wind!
After Dauo we went to a couple of other wineries and landed at Barrelhouse for a beer – Sunnydaze brew is my favorite!
After Barrelhouse, the boys met up with us and we landed at Firestone Brewery for dinner. I ended the day of drinks at Barrelhouse, and stuck to food and water at Firestone. I ordered these fish tacos for dinner. They were delish, and super filling. I took one home for Marco to enjoy the next day for lunch.
Ah, such a fun day with my girls and the hubby once he got off work. I hope you girls have a great weekend coming up. Do something that makes you happy – regardless of what it is. As long as it makes you feel truly well 🙂
I’ll see you back here Monday (also, I’ll be sharing that mini-workshop series with you then, with videos on budgeting, organization, and meal planning)! XO
Pssst…
